It's a nice clickety ratcheting swivel, so it stays in place. Holds any angle well and the rotating base has clicks so it doesn’t just spin freely.

I was immediately impressed with the strong solid build of this stand

She can have the legs fully vertical the highest viewing position while watching the ipad with no balance issues

My best guess is if it begins to loosen and not hold the angle over time you can tighten the hinges with the wrench

But i found a use for the stand that i hadnt anticipated
