Previously reviews have pointed out that the ends of the rod are more of a silver plastic not a true brushed nickel metal

Once theyre up on the window i dont find it to be an issue

Its important to follow the instructions and ensure that you extend the rod past the size of the window opening so that you have to push the ends together to create the tension needed to hold up the weight

As others have noted the finials at the ends of the rods really are very cheap and plastic

Some of the reviews made us a little dubious so we ordered just one pair at first with the petal shaped finialill do a similar review as this one for all the others we wound up buying later round ball finial after the first pair worked
