Pros & Cons
Pros
Tastes like the cafe lattes! Matcha is my new morning addiction! No more coffee jitters. Directions suggests you add 1/2 spoon.
Ordered friday delivered early sunday. I am so happy with my purchase and will continue to purchase from kenko. The matcha tastes so good, and really feels like a new staple in my self-care routine.
For newbies like me, this benefit from the non-organic kenko ceremonial matcha helps to both take the sting out of the price as well as to help increase the chance of flavor satisfaction. Both are nice and cheaper than other matcha i've tried from hou... Read More
The culinary grade comes in a nice heavy duty resealable bag which makes it easy to get the air out and store in a cool cupboard to keep it fresh. I typically microwave 1 cup of water for 2 minutes for typical bag teas like earl gray, which is okay to... Read More
Cons
The flavor is mediocre compared to competitors. There is zero sheerness to the product due to the moisture content and clumping that results from it.
It is not flavorful and does not dissolve well even with recommended sifting. Also the color is light green, not saturated green.
The powder is clumped together and not fine. It is not fresh and made big clumps when i added hot water. After stirring it into the water is so clumpy with balls at the bottom. The gas that purges the oxygen before the pouch is sealed?

If you are a matcha to drink as a standalone tea then you should be looking for something other than a culinary grade product
