Pros & Cons

Pros

The device comes on dusk and still on and bright at 5 am. It provides light similar to a 40w to 60w incandescent all night if charged on a sunny day, and most of the night ( albeit dimmer) following cloudy days. It add charm and soft lighting.

It's a bit smaller in size than i was expecting, but i'll live with it. I only wish it came in slightly bigger size to match the base and the original light was 3 inches taller. It fit perfectly.

These are the best lanterns for areas where you need light and have no wired electric available. Replaced old hard-wired lights on my driveway monuments. Loved not having to rewire my current poles. Runs on solar energy.

The new lights are noticeably brighter and the battery lasts longer. The brightness isn't really bright but they give the good ambience that we were looking for. It is not too bright but does illuminate the end of the driveway well enough.

Simple to install. Just loosen the 3 screw head bolts, slide it on the pole and tighten them. The only critique is the bulb is not replaceable.

But part way into the night one started dimming after about 5 hours while the other glowed brightly all night

I believe it could be bad batteries in the one as we seem to have had a number of those battery issues with solar lights the batteries are relatively low quality which you should not expect from a light as nice and costly as this

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

They do dim slowly so the actual illumination after about 6 to 8 hours is less than full brightness something that all solar lights seem to do

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Update 1022 the lights would not fully charge and i asked the vendor about obtaining the oem batteries as other similar size and even a bit larger rechargeable batteries i tried would again not last

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Kemeco stated the solar panels may have gone bad in that they would no longer deliver a full charge
