Pros & Cons

Pros

The sound is strong and clear. Great sounding, fills a 20 x 20 ft room with volume halfway up. Sound quality is decent, it's not a bose system, but then again i didn't spend the money.

I love how retro it looks and fits well with my eclectic style decor. It is well built and won't be prone to breaking any time soon. She loves the retro look and it's portability.

Everything works very well- you can manipulate the eq without much of a learning curve. Insert an sd card or a usb and scroll through menus. When it finishes all the songs in one folder it goes to the next folder, as expected.

Set-up is quick and painless. Remote allows me to turn the volume up or down without having to finagle any dials. If you turn on the stereo at the stereo knob then you have an automatic 1-hour sleep timer.

Works as advertised. Works perfectly for what i was looking for ascetically and functionally. They want an ad-on subscription for everything now.

Cons

The remote control is too limited to be a real remote control. Site claims it has an auto-off feature when using the power button on the unit, but either that's not true or mine was defective.

It does not feel hot or make any other sound - it just shuts off. While the audio is loud and clear, the bass is practically inaudible.

Stereo receiver has some weird functionality issues. Bluetooth functionality is poor at best. Cannot get a decent signal and only one radio station, period. Poor usage of bluetooth.

The sound quality is solid and surprisingly loud but its not the same fullbodied sound you might expect from a more expensive b...  Read More

Price

I had wanted a unit that holds multiple cds but the price point and the coolness factor of this unit was my tradeoff

This system meets all of our expectations for a very reasonable price

💎wanted to buy a bose wave system allinone for years but couldn’t stomach the price

Competitiveness

But another way to look at this is that if you turn on the stereo at the stereo knob then you have an automatic 1hour sleep timer

Significantly bigger than the bose products i imagine they’re competing with

If you’re tight on space you might want to check out keiid’s smaller stereo

I take on star from portability because while you can carry it around to play in different places it does not have handles or an easy carry that is not a bit awkward

However i was primarily playing my cds only

Please note that i do not use the radio or bluetooth components
