Pros & Cons
Pros
These are a great value in the audiophile world. Fullness of sound and articulation. Roller-coaster of dynamic sound.
These deserve the praise they have received. The current price makes them the clear choice in ‘bookshelf’ speakers. Unless you have a very subpar amp, these speakers will sound fine.
They are a better value from a ground zero level. Toe them in just a little have them out from the walls and ohhhhhhpah!
There is far more than meets the eye going on with the ls50s. Highs and mids and soundstage are superior to all of the aforementioned speakers. Ls is never harsh unlike any other metal dome i've heard. The right amplifier for the ls50s, no matter what... Read More
These are good. They sound fantastic and look incredible. I regret not getting them sooner.
Cons
They are a little dinged up and very used. One woofer is slightly blown. This could have easily been tamed by padding the high frequency output of the crossover.
Highlights
Quality
I listen to a lot of orchestra and symphony music at lower volume levels and i am extremely happy with the ls50’s performance
Its a beautiful piece quality is supreme top notch for the price and specially when amazon goes on sale 999 definitely worth it
Treble sound quality is less musical and noticeably inferior to my previously purchased ls50 pair in april of 2015

Competitiveness
I used these to replace a set of 15inch cerwin vega barnshakers that i came to understand were simply overwhelming the room
I had a pair of q300 and q150 since 8 years ago
If there’s a big rolloff below 80hz i sure don’t hear it
Much to my wifes dislike i splurged and picked a pair of these up on amazon

I compared these to a pair of martin logan bookshelf speakers and felt the tone was duller with the martin logans

Bass is good on these bookshelfs but honestly even at 1500pair youre just not going to get strong bass below 60hertz without paying 5 or 10 times this price
