Pros & Cons
Pros
The rythmik is more precise than the rel. The kef digs into the 14hz region with good authority. This is most noticeable when listening to piano-centric cuts.
Cons
Do not believe the hype. If you were doing home theater only, it might be okay. But for that price, no way.
Highlights
Quality
The engineering of the forcecancellation and dual 500w drivers is really impressive
The build quality and controls are great easy to setup
Subwoofers suffer badly from room modes where the sound cancels itself out or enhances itself at certain wavelengths
I’ve switched to the wireless as it cuts on long cord out and the sound isn’t impacted
Price
If you can afford this subwoofer it is a fantastic choice for 2
Im super happy with my purchase considering i got it on sale and the surprisingly great performance
Especially if they can price them closer to about 1500 on sale
If cost and low frequency extension are what youre going for go for the rythmik
Competitiveness
I picked this up to replace a von schweikert vrs1 subwoofer and pair with my rythmik f12se
Update jan 2022after running a few more comparisons i realized the rythmik is actually a bit deeper than the kef
I purchased this through a dealer and not on amazon but wanted to add my comparisons for others looking into this sub
