Since they're leather they are less likely to blow out the stitching on the side. No irritation from the straps at the ankle or on the foot. Wide toe box is a real plus when bunions are an issue.

The salesman says that isn't uncommon as we age -- and i have definitely aged! They still work fine for years, but with a less supportive cushion, they're not as good for all-day use. They last almost ten years.

Thick leather with neoprene (or something) lined inside for a comfortable fit. The bungee cord is a great feature. Improved support and construction over 6-8 yrs ago.

The right shoe is nice and snug, but the left has to be tightened way up to match. Their sizing is way off. Got one 10. Returned these to amazon.

At $140 retail these are not up to *. Current one has cheap quality and it's straps were dingy at arrival. Difference was noticeable even before trying them on!

Spacing between straps isn't consistent, areas look sloppily glued. In some places the threading is bunched up. They have a sewn seam in the middle of the back strap that makes them unwearable.
