The inside is very soft and cushioned. The laptop slides in easily but nestles in between the padding for good protection.
Great product fit my hp envy laptop perfectly, nice and cozy. Used for apple air. Perfect for my lenovo ideapad slim 7 15. The last picture is with a microsoft surface inside for size reference. My hp laptop and 12.
I like the zippered outside pocket that runs the length of the cover. The inside pocket is plenty big to carry my charger. Strong zipper is nice and high quality.
