Pros & Cons
Pros
The magnets hold very well, no inadvertent movement. I have two other pinned combination square but this one out paces both for convenience. The magnets make it very easy to use while still retaining accuracy.
Easy to adjust and seems to be square. I use mine for carpentry and it works great. Blade is etched and inked and very visible.
Cons
"this is a great concept, however the execution is not. Square is not square! Pretty unusable with that flaw" "at least 1 degree off.
Highlights
Quality
I will continue to buy kapro because of the quality
I would not hesitate to recommend this product
Main issue is that the scribe is just held in place with the magnet and not very well
That was true for mine as well but i investigated it further and determined the problem was not with the metal but rather the paint
Price
I was skeptical about a magnetic square but for the price i took a chance
Packaging/appearance
This item was dead on square right out of the package
Competitiveness
Much better than other brands i have
I have seen the exact same square with a different name on it for almost twice the price
