I used mine to run a ps4 with a rocketfish hdmi cable and i am very astonished at performance
It works great and has no issues ive been able to discover running at 1920x1200 resolution
Im using the thunderbolt port to connect to a blackmagic teranex 2d media converter so hdmi is all that was left to connect a display

Note that it only displays 720p on the apple display as mentioned in other comments but this seems to be a limitation of the monitor itself

Mostly due to the different native resolution the 720p image is less crisp than what you are used to from the internal highresolution image of the imac

If the kanex would offer the imacs native resolution that would be perfect but i am aware that there are technical limitations using hdmi minidisplay port and of course the image source itself

In short great product image quality slightly beyong what i was hoping for due to upscaling of 720p to the huge highresolution screen of the imac
