Reccomend for people with narrow to thin calves but if you have slightly wide calves these may not work for you

I wear these when running errands or when i need to scrape the snow and ice off my car and they have surprisingly good traction though i would wear ice cleats over them if you were planning on walking more than a short distance or on slippery icy surfaces
