Kali protectives are good knee pads for the price. Measure 4 inches or so above the knee for good sizing. Size xl is a bit tight for my legs, but this is the best set of pads i found. Best knee pad on the market.
Rubber grip inside the cuff keeps them in place well while pedaling. Not bulky nor stiff, great flex, almost like not having knee pads at all.

Highly breathable design makes it easy to wear even on humid days. Great airflow and comfort. Super comfortable and vent very well.
These are great, there is zero excuse to not wear them. They're comfortable, and should provide the protection i want for riding my mtb.

I feel that putting them on by pulling from the top is not the best way as the grippy tack used to keep them from sliding down just hinders the process as it should

Pulling from the top just seams to cause the knee pads to stretch which would obviously damage them because of laziness
