Pros
The intonation of the frets are perfect, no buzzes, great strings and it sounds awesome. The tuning pegs are good quality and it comes with very good aquila strings. Electric ones also feature a built in tuner.

Cons
The tenor ukulele sounds out of tune. Even after a luthier adjusted the instrument's saddle, the intonation is still off. The cause seems to be frets that are not accurately placed on the fingerboard.

While i am just starting to learn to play i am pleased with the sound tonality and volume of this ukulele
I love the sound of the kala kate with the aquila red strings with unwound lowg
Others may be totally happy with the stock strings which give that classic hawaiian sound
My ukulele arrived in a kala box as shown with the panel wagon logo on the outside
Packaging/appearance
I was a little nervous when i saw the packaging minimal but soon found the ukelele was intact with no damage or blemishes i could find

Had a lanakai the was glossy and looked beautiful but had high action and seemed to be sonically dead

Sometimes it just depends on whether you get a good one or not had a kala kasmhtec that had bad tuners high action etc
