Pros

The frame is metal and the filter has a metal mesh so it is very sturdy and does not bend or push inward with the air. Air flow is surprisingly high with these, higher than a normal comparable fabric/paper filter.

Using the k&n spray cleaner with this filter is really impressive. The filter is slightly more restrictive in airflow than throwaway merv 13 filters. The 409 cleaner seems to be safe as was the zepp medium duty cleaner but not as effective.

Being able to wash them instead of throwing away money has been well worth the upfront cost. They are washable and reusable. Be cognizant to keep them maintained and washed for best performance.

Cons

Leak/puddle on my secondary (emergency) pan right below the air handler. When you wash or expose static filtration to liquids or humidity they lose their fil tration ability. Would not recommend k & n reusable filter.

Very displeased with the product. This product is fairly flimsy.

The size is stated to be 20. The actual size is 19. Wasn't properly sized so to small for space. The sizing is off! I have no idea why they would produce a product that doesn't fit the size you pick. Being a contractor i know certain things or product... Read More

It works far far better than merv 13 new air filters at removing smoke dust and anything else

Static pressure was also better in comparison during my tests

I can no longer buy a 20x25x1 on amazon and hopefully i can find one to compare new filter to the 2 year filter i had
