Went though 3 hp branded ink cartridges but they would not print.

We have generally used the brand manufacture ink, however, the price seems unfair for a small amount of ink provided.

I gave four stars because when you first open, some ink got all over my hand.

I didn't give it a fifth star because (as they warn you), there were a couple of drops of ink floating when the orange tab is removed so be aware and careful as they instruct and it did not interfere with the printer's performance.

The solution is to remove the cartridge after every use and place a cap over the printing heads.
