I have 2 bowls plugged in 24/7 since about october of 2019 and so far i haven’t had any issues. We are in the northern states where freezing temps last for 5 months to where we have this plugged in nearly the entire duration. There will still be a bit... Read More

The tabs at the base of the bowl are a nice feature to help with picking up, emptying and cleaning the bowl. Cheaper than those junk heaters! Easy to clean stainless. Impressed with heating ability.

The side is just right for the birds to perch on and the squirrels to bend over. This holds a ton of water for a cat, but it saves me from refilling it daily. If anyone cares for outdoor stray or feral cats, this product is a must have.

Cons

High winter moisture is not healthy for chickens. It says it works in subzero temps. The next morning the water is 50f. The downside is that it took a long time to arrive, and is only good to 0 degrees fahrenheit.

Review is different for me because i haven't even plugged the thing in and tried it. Returned the 1st unit and tried a 2nd. Will see about the 1 year warranty. The second quit after a week. Lasted about 1 month.
