Scope reads its own internally generated 1khz square wave. Amp; is reasonably responsive considering it is just a tiny microcontroller and lcd. C'mon, it's a very inexpensive scope that works.

I liked that the oscilloscope was easy to assemble and the cost was low

Competitiveness

I love that i can power this oscope with a 9v battery

I was able to use those parts with a cheapo 9v battery that i had laying around from the dollar store to reliably power this oscope

Found a slightly larger smd chip on a broken obd2 scanner i had and removed it

I purchased the diy version of this kit on amazon from nooelec inc
