It is a little older so you will need to know how to deal with some more legacy devices like a dte if you want to get the most out of it but i cant really see how to get a better camera for the price these things go for

Its heavy and not well balanced if you put an ab battery and adapter plate etc so it will easily fall over it its on a poor tripid and then you will be very sad

They sent me a broken camera which was no good but they replaced it pretty promptly and actually replaced it with a slightly nicer camera which was really good of them but that camera arrived missing the adapter that holds the microphone on which was not so good

Finally i would also recommend a dte recorder which will record directly from your camera bypassing the need for tape and record digitally to the dte hard drive

Recommend the focus firestore drhd100 which is specifically designed for this specific camera and works flawlessly
