Pros

Heat mats simply raise the temp to where you can germinate seeds. It speeds up germination a lot. The warmth improves my early spring sprout growth.

The jumpstart heats up quickly and evenly. When used with timer and thermostat very easy to regulate temperature. It is just the right temp to get my sourdough starter bubbling and active, and helps the rye bread dough to rise before baking.

As far as longevity i don't know yet as i've been only using them for a year.

Quality

Despite the extra watering labor i had to endure i was very happy with the results

Works great high quality working right now

It is not a hot mat with just about a 20 degree temperature difference with the ambient air but that is all i wanted

Shipping

It ships in a box that keeps it flat unlike many other brands that roll up the mat for ease in shipping

Packaging/appearance

The components are bent from the first packaging

Just make sure you get amazon boxing because it will be sent in its actually packaging if you dont

Competitiveness

Its held to the jar with zipties linked together

Got these after trying another brand vivosun which was returned

I tried inkbird and ac infinitis 20x20 mats

I decided to try to save some money by going with cheaper brands
