Removing the door also helps when youre rinsing out the infuser

The door is held in place by a couple of prongs sticking out of it that poke into a couple of depressions in the infuser

Just be careful not to press the plunge too fast or hard or it might open particularly if you over filled the infuser

Competitiveness

Much easier to use than some infusers but holds too little for a large cup of tea in my opinion

I went back on amazon and ordered a large screwtop infuser instead
