We went for 18 and indeed as you can see on the picture the shirts sleeves were a bit long and the vest a tad large but pants were perfect and we didnt make any alteration

For my 8yr old son who is tall 4’3” but skinny 57lbs we had to alter his pants because they would not stay up however we anticipated this because he has this issue with most pants
