This is a good quality blackboard and easy to install. We tried it with regular and colored chalk, but also really like the Chalkola bright markers.It’s super handy to also have this work with magnets. We have lots of magnet letters that are a handy addition.Because it doesn’t have a glare, this is perfect for our low vision son. This is of surprisingly high quality construction for the price. The chalkboard proper is a deep black overcoating metal. The metal surface is rigid with no give when writing on it. The frame is a matching black aluminum, solid, strong and kind of minimalist. There are channels in the exterior of the frame on all four sides into which the chalk and eraser holder slides, making it possible to place the board in any desired orientation. A slight looseness exists in the attachment of the chalk holder to the frame allowing the holder to slide rather freely. In one of the pictures I've included you can see a refrigerator magnet sticking to the surface of the chalkboard. The frame has four holes, one in each corner, for attaching to the wall, and screws and anchors for wall attachment are included. I will update this review if the board is less stellar in use than upon initial inspection. My wife will be using it for a weekly class with grandhildren and we're pleased with the chalkboard's quality and appearance.  Read Less
