They're peat pellets or whatever, i haven't tried them yet but they appear to be identical to that of my hardware store. They worked identical other peet pellets at much cheaper price for the *.
Cons
After watering the peat pellets seed starting plugs, mold formed. These are full of acid content and burnt all my clones.

I found they were a bit small for squash seeds i like to start mine indoors since my seedlings tend to get eaten unless theyre well established prior to planting outside but for starting small seeds theyre great and really simple just add water and they puff right up beautifully

I will say though to be careful of the amount of water you add since they disintegrate if you put too much
