Think of the drive knob as the volume on an old tube amp. This is a * pedal that stacks well with other overdrives.

Clean dirt makes your sound even better than it was before without reshaping it. Enough vintage esthetic and design to satisfy players of most every genre. Provides a convincing marshall tone that holds up extremely well in a mix.

Jhs tube screamer is one of my favorite distortion pedals of all time. Transparent overdrive and tube screamer all in one. Great for gentle warm distortion.

Cons

The serial sticker being removed is typical for guitar players who want to put velcro on the bottom of the pedal. The latest revision cheapens the quality so they make more money at the consumers expense.
