The book is quite verbose. The author uses an incredible amount of parentheses - sometimes 6-8 a page. Very distracting and annoying. Save your money.

Despite jfk being an objectively sympathetic and likable figure logevall is evenhanded in his assessment of the kennedy family not shying away from his subjects serial adultery or the fact that luck raw political calculus and his fathers immense wealth often played an outsized role in his life
