Pros

Air filter is indispensable to my ability to do woodworking. My shop is 14x25, and it clears all airborne particulates real quick.

Pleased with the quick response from cpo outlet to replace the unit. Only minor complaint is that the front face of the unit must be visible to the remote in order to operate by the remote.

Jet does a good job packaging their motors. The box itself is a little bulky, but the weight isn’t too bad at around 50lbs. The shippers need a little work).

Noise at the lowest of the three settings is about 60 decibels at three feet, manageable. At the high setting they exhaust an impressive volume of clean air that can be felt 30 feet away. It is much quieter than my shop vac or my jointer.

Cons

Unit makes loud humming noise and fan turns slowly when unit is off. On the fastest speed, the motor hums loudly, but does not blow any faster. Also, the timer is just a timed toggle switch and will turn the unit on as well as off.

One of the units arrived with its outer framed badly dented on one side from shipping

As others have stated remove filters and foam shipping blocks and cycle unit on a workbench or saw horses before installing

Btw packaging was appalling for something this heavy 54

Unit arrived with the outer case damaged in several areas packaging is not adequate for the weight of the unit and shipping handling

I created a temporary scaffold by placing five gallon paint buckets on top of a rolling steel shelf and shimming with a pair of 2x4s
