Yes its a 8ohm and the vox stock is a 16ohm
I decided to go with these because they were at the time some of the cheapest highquality speakers you could find at around nineteen each

Actually a really broad sounding and surprisingly loud speaker i was worried that it would sound like vintage 8 speakers which is to say i was worried it would sound terrible

Comparing the original speakers the weight is noticeable for the jensen heaver and with a more sturdy cone bracket the cone material is similar for the mustang the stepped cone in the pictures

The swap beware if doing this swap the negative side is narrow arrange for a replacement female connector before the swap begins

The sound characteristics are close to identical to the oe speaker so it made no difference to me for the magnet choice

I dropped two of these into my old beater practice amp a peavey backstage chorus 208 a solid state amp obviously curious what itd do to the sound

Rolling off the tone knob on the guitar or the treble on the amps limited eq also makes the highs bearable again but of course sucks a lot of the tone in the process
