I have a ring camera at my front door but over the years service is sketchy and live view is so blurry that it’s not worth paying the yearly fee anymore not to mention the buggy app

Yes you need to either plug it into a hdmi or vga port screen to setup or if you want to view and click on videos live

The cameras have a metal housing and switch automatically from day to night vision
