Quality
I am very happy with the pump and am ordering another just to have as a spare
I love being able to adjust pump output with the impeller speed
At full power my overflows cant keep up with the volume this pumps out
They don’t have great quality control but they make up for it in customer support
Price
This is a great pump at a reasonable price
Over power a little and save energy cost
Packaging/appearance
One improvement that should be made is how the power plugs into the controllerdisplay
Competitiveness
I used it for half that time submerged and half that time as an inline pump to a canister filter on a 125g tank
I have several different jebao pumps and have been pleased with all of them
I replaced my stock pump in a fluval 32 tank with this unit
It pulls water out of the tank aprox

Upon installation pump also is quiet virtually no audible hum

Negatives manual sorely lacking clearly it was a translated document done literally so there are a lot of very strange phrases in it

Bigger issue is that while the control unit only has 3 unlabeled buttons an up arrow a down arrow and a pause button the manual references the feed button for instance

I was unable to find a connector sized to any of the various piping i have in my aquarium closet to allow using a foam prefilter for this pump so i left the coarse screen

This screen is not fine enough from preventing fry from entering it often my cichlid fry end up in the sump

Hooked up right out of the box and it leaked everywhere
