Its not in direct sunlight but the top is now a much lighter pink that the rest of the clock

Having the alarm feature isn’t necessary at this time but i figured it would be helpful in the future

Its big numbers make it easy to read and i like that it is not constantly lit up since i am sensitive to light when trying to sleep but if you do need to it in the dark you can just click the snooze button and the whole clock display screen will light up in blue

Something to note is that this is a battery operated clock only and it doesnt come with batteries
