Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to use 8 channel relay. I bough a few similar modules, all work fine. Ralph bacon has a good write up on this and why. Ralph.
Quality and functionality lives up to expectation. Good board layout. Convenient led shows the opto coupler state. Great for ease of opto coupling the arduino outputs to control high current devices / motors/ lights/ flame throwers.
The unit can be interfaced using 5v or 3. V i/o, depending on which vcc voltage is used (jd-vcc must always be it feeds the relays) the logic circuits are 3. X 3. X 2. And the pins gnd - pi ground- vcc - pi 3. Gnd - pi gnd.

Beware these relays are activated on low input so you may want to hook up with a 2n222 transistor or similar to switch them to act on high instead

Its ok to power the optocoupler vcc next to in8 from arduino and send ground control outputs from arduino but use a separate 5v supply and gnd on the dirty side of the relay coil at jdvcc
