A very handy sharpening stone. Sharpening your knives is actually quite relaxing. It’s good practice to use some sort of good quality fine diamond stone to flatten the water stone.

Cons
The 1000 grit side is friable. Small piece on corner of it has broken off. Tried to stick back on with araldite but it crumbled.

What can i say other than i have wasted hours trying to get a good edge on my straight razors and have been totally frustrated when my expectations

Were not met the root cause was i have been using inexpensive stones great for knives but not for a superfine edge you need for a straight razori set the bevel with the 1k the scratch patten was uniform i then used the 6k side i was shocked to see how quickly a mirror finished was produced

The 6k side is very soft and needs flattening constantly

Dont submerge the 6000 side as this can lead to cracking simply splash and go

Make sure to not put it away wet as the stone can develop mold that will be very difficult or impossible to remove

To dry it can take anywhere from a day to a week so be patient and just set it aside
