Pros

The janome performs excellently and is easy to use. The only thing i would change is a longer cord on the foot pedal.

Front loading bobbin is a change of pace, but i don’t mind it. It sews much slower than my singer (about 840 stitches per minute compared to 1100) sewed thru 5 layers on a flannel-quilt with no problem. Thread holder stands straight up, not like the n... Read More

Cons

After 1 month, the timing is off and we had to pay a repair man to reset it. It does a weird jump every few inches. Their only suggestion to fix the problem is to send it back.

Although, when winding the bobbin, those gears also seem to be sluggish. Seems like if i didn't have a bobbin problem it would have been a keeper.

This machine is not for someone who wants to sew almost daily. The threads are knotting and the machine jamming when you first start sewing.
