Pros & Cons
Pros
The quietness of it allows you to sew and be on speakerphone at the same time. Love how it is computerized.
The magnolia machine is great for taking to classes. I have a brother that i really love, but this janome has already surpassed it. The machine is heavy and sturdy.
It has a drop-in, see-through bobbin and a needle threader. You can disengage the foot pedal and use the start/stop button instead. Easy to thread and easy to wind bobbin.
The drop-in bobbin is a must and it is super easy to change stitch length. It sews great on thick fabric and gets through many layers without problems. I get it right off, haven't sewed alot yet, but it is so smooth and winding the bobin is a brease.
Cons
I feel it is deceptive on the part of the seller to not disclose this in the description. It sounds wrong, and it certainly sews incorrectly.
