I had lots of mice running riot in my garden so i set up a bucket next to a ledge i saw them frequently running along with this trap and was able to observe that it wasn’t working given that the mice were very small and lightweight

I adjusted both the screws until it was very easy to trigger to the point that it would not selfreset but at least it efffectively catches the mice

The first two i used were thin strips of wood and i caught no mice

I used a wider plank and got the mice

I prefer this trap to a mouse poison bait box because you know where the mouse will end up
