Pros
They work great and extend the bulbs down in my recessed fixtures. Allows my lights to be redirected. Worked perfectly in my overhead light cans. Can be used for 7 luce or bombillos in the kitchen.
Cons
It's just a little piece of crimped brass that wraps around the bulb and is sort of smooshed against the electrical contacts at the bottom. It's not fastened very securely. Definitely a design flaw.

The recessed light fixtures appear to be optimized for par38 halogens which are very long from bulb threads to glass

Contemporary leds even flood lights are much shorter so the glass was recessed about 34 inch above the bottom of the fixtures so each bulb only lit up a narrow column

Eventually the lamp shade needed replacement but nobody sold the specialized shade that attached to the sconce
