Primary use is for bluray viewing which is a much more userfriendly experience than the xbox one controller

This is not a backlit remote but the layout of the buttons helps in memorizingthe ir sensor range is measured around 25 ft on the model i received about a 5 ft difference as described

One thing to note for bluray playback the bottom left back arrow is assigned as the players onscreen display if youd like to see the time remaining during playback
