Mine won't spin. It has the metal ball bearing but it must be defective or the handles were put on wrong so it’s rubbing on the roller?

When the pin arrived i was disappointed to see that it had a couple of minor dents in the barrel

It was possible for me to take these out with some judicious repeats of sanding moistening the areas to raise the grain and sanding again but the dents shouldnt have been there to begin with

In order to really get the pin ready for use the barrel first must be oiled the handles are finished with some sort of polyurethane but the barrel itself is raw wood note its a good thing that theres no polyurethane on the barrel
