The product adheres well to wood surface and can be easily smoothed with scraper if surface or scraper is wet. The material adheres to itself as well as the wood. It has apoxie sculpt's adhesion (to literally almost anything--be careful!

The right way to fix a rotted door jamb at the bottom is to replace the whole leg or the door itself and jamb. Amazon's price is lower than any of the home improvement stores by 25%. Whatever the need, j-b weld has the fix.

Packaging/appearance

Was easiest to mix it by hands with gloves on

Was able to fill 1inch thick boards with material

Drilled new pilot holes and the door screws went in the new holes solid

Competitiveness

Using 80 grit sandpaper on a 5in orbital sander i was easily able to cut down a 18in layer

Its more expensive than ordinary wood putty but easily worth the additional cost
