It is quiet and it keeps the wine chilled. The noise level is appropriate. If you need complete silence get a thermoelectric cooler but make sure you read up on the trade off.

I kept seeing mixed reviews and i really didn’t want to pay 500

Overall this is a great value if you go through around 24 bottles a year and dont plan to use for long term storage
