Pros

Some nooks and crannies make cleaning a chore.

The 18 gallon is shorter and thus, blends in better with kitchen decor. I use 8 gallon bags (furio brand on amazon) but i have to take the trash out when it's starting to reach the bottom of the odor control container.

Cons

The mechanism/hinge that lifts the lid broke and it stopped automatically lifting. Without the automatic lid, the trash bin is terrible to use, specifically when you have wet yucky trash to toss.

There is no contacting anyone who can explain what has gone wrong. Their 'make a claim' button is not where the warranty info page says it is. The whole process screams that this is a company who didn't fully think through their website.

Seems like the motor went. Most like froma a brownout or power outage.
