It is much gentler than using my fingernails. It is quite soft and you can run it over your scalp (for us bald guys) or through your hair while your shampoo/conditioner is doing it's magic.

My dog has one which he seems to enjoy so i just had to get one for myself 😆i had a cheaply made one made of plastic from a set with other shower items that had bristles that were too short so i didnt feel anything when i used it

It also molded easily since water would get trapped in it

The handle fits slightly too big probably so that it would fit most people but nothing that bothers me while using it
