The base is the correct diameter for the first quarter inch, then it spreads out to about 3. If you hole isn't tapered it won't fit. The table wobbles.

I did have to mod the bottom edge with my dremel specifically i had to grind down the lip at bottom of the cup as it was about 18 inch too deep to have top edge flush with the floor

Try as i could whatever was installed on the boat i couldnt get it to fit any of the legs out there in the market

Basically you need a 3 14 hole for this to fit snugly

I had to cut the holes about 14 larger all around 12 in total but i expected that after reading some other reviews

I removed one cap cut the steel tube and reglued the cap
