Pros
This is what i needed for my dashcam, to use it as a quick connect. The connector is actually a bit big for the g1w-c, but i swapped it with the connector from the suction cup mount.
Works well and very easy to install. Fitted with the transcend drivepro 200 camera perfectly and construction is solid.

Competitiveness
Holds my dashcam very well seems like a much better option than suction cup mounting
If you still plan on using the suction cup mount i recommend you spend the extra 3 and buy the official g1w rear view mount

The only this is i wish the neck was a tad bit longer as it was a pain trying to position it so that it wouldnt interfere with my mirror especially if you have the thicker mirror with garage door highbeam detection

The clip that holds the camera on the unit is very stiff so removing the camera every time you exit the car is tough but the good thing is there is no free play so the camera doesnt move around at all when attached

The ball end locks down firmly so the camera wont move at all except maybe in a crash

It would be nice if there was a telescopic length adjustment because its about 23 of an inch or 2 cm too long for my liking but for 7

I bought an apeman mini dashcam because i knew the suction cup would fail if it was heavy
