Pros
These irwin * are good and as advertised. These are solid, simple, well-made * by a reputable company. Got some additional irwin bar * to add to my collection.
Cons
Light duty quick-grip bar * are not as nice as the older light duty *. The clamping force on the new ones claim to be 140lb while the older ones are rated at 100lb. This clamp is pretty terrible. It feels so cheap & flimsy 7 the handle is so thin,... Read More
The bars are much less robust and the * puny and fragile compared to earlier models. The release trigger is painfully quirky. Not a manufacturer issue, but deceptive marketing.

I had no idea irwin sold different qualities of clamps and didnt know these would be the light duty

I was expecting them to be the same as the heavy duty 12 i already had where you can detach and flip one end of the clamp

If your working on a special project soft items or dont want something damaged from the clamp digging in put something thin and flat inbetween the clamp and itemproject on the one side

When you let go of the pressurehitting trigger it can put some force back and pinch or dig into your finger

Protect then from rust left it outside overnight a couple times the dew got em and if you clamp too much pressure the sides will pop off
