Pros & Cons
Pros
Used this to bore holes in my new birchwood plywood. Drilled 20 holes through 4 layers of 1/2 birch plywood and no chipping. Used this when restoring a couple of maple chairs from around 1961.
Needed this bit to divot wood to get to sit flush. Made a bunch of these candle holders. Not overly expensive for the occasional home diy’er user.
Cons
This is probably the worst drill bit i've ever used. The tip is bent over, and the blade is horribly sharpened. Cutting edges had burrs and chips.
Smoked within 20 seconds of drilling. Completely defective and should not have been packaged. It's clear there is zero quality control.
Highlights
Quality
Matched the quality of my existing bit set
Ive only used it a few time so far but the cut quality is good and it clears the shavings well
Shipping
Shipping was perfect im looking for more projects to use this on
They cut clean fast and they last
Packaging/appearance
So much better than my bosch bitsmoves cut material out of the way quickly
It has a tendency to ‘walk’ across the workpiece
It works but the wood fibers wrap the cutting surface
Competitiveness
I have used this to make several trivets
