Keep in mind that these are not simple 118 or even 135 degree split points the tip is a variation on the bd pilot point which has some of the features of a brad point bit the extended tip and raised outer edges

For general purpose use in wood plastics aluminum and steel there may be nothing better

The very small sizes have regular split points because theyre too small for the complex tip design

However if you are working with a lot of heavier steel the irwin heavy duty bits or some other brands heavy duty bits that are not m2 steel would probably be a better choice

I probably would have bought atleast on pie if not two replacement snap on bits by nowsmall size obv

The drill bits have a special point that will be impossible to replicate if you resharpen them yourself by hand or use a drilldoctor
