Pros

The material the tread is made of is above average. After a couple days breaking them in, they are comfortable and provide good traction. The only thing that would be nice is if the laces where thicker.

The heel cup is what locks your foot in and makes them feel super supportive. Plenty of toe room but still fit snug around feet. Logger soles are kind of soft but still firm.

Great boots for the price. Fit well. My only issue is there not made in the usa. Almost no work boot is made in america anymore. Huge plus for me.

There were many reviews about the sizing of these boots. I always get my boots size 11w to have some extra room for swelling. Ordered same size as my sketchers and nike running shoes.

Cons

Waterproof but not gortex therefore not breathable. Insoles wear out in weeks. Leather is thinner now.

Well worth the money i spent on them

Inside then toe box of the steel toe versions were much slimmer

The toe box is much wider with the soft toe versions

Ordered same size as my sketchers and nike running shoes

Tried on some actual full brand red wings as well nothing could compare with the feeling of the instant foot hug

They last just as long as other top quality brands usa made or not

I would rate the ashbys like an entry level to irish setter
