I feel the corners may be a little exposed because of the way the case fits and if dropped at the right angle you might be able to get a ding on your phone

This adds a grip to the phone and gives it more support for the new thinner phone which should help keep it from bending as has been the problem with the new iphone

If youre not hard on your phones and want to just have a case on it to help against getting scuffs on the back and edges along with something to make you able to grip the phone better then this is definitely what youre looking for

But if you want to protect your phone spend the money on a case that is actually meant to keep it protected from drops along with a good screen protector your phone is an investment and not cheap buy what you need for it dont try to be cheap and then complain if you spend 6 on a case drop the phone and it screws up then complain about the case not protecting it
